The Treviso Hut

Data evento:

Rifugio Treviso

The hut, main traits:

This hut, located over a nice ridge among a wood of firs and larches lays on the East side of the Canali valley. Its origins date back to the Dresden division of DOAV, which built it in 1897, naming it Canali hut. The hut was left to the SAT alpine association after world war one and some years later to the Treviso division of the Italian Alpine club, this latter change of ownership caused the name to change to the present one: Treviso hut (Rifugio Treviso in Italian).

Despite its easy access the hut offers a wide range of climbing routes and interesting opportunities to reach hide treasures of the Pale di S.Martino mountain group, in Canali valley and beyond it. It provides 35 beds + 4 in the winter season (these 4 become part of the whole lodging capability in the opening season). The regular opening time is from 20th June to 30th September (from 1st may to 20th June weekend only). The host is the alpine guide Tullio Simoni, who, together with his family, will offer you a professional and alpine rest. Please consider that due to the above mentioned easiness of access it’s a wise thing to phone the landlord to book, with a reasonable advance with respect to the planned holiday period. Regular opening season is from mid June to end of September.
